E3 2015: You Can Now Vote For What Games You Want To Be Backwards Compatible On The Xbox One (But, Please, No Too Human)
Max Payne 3 all the way, though!
Hold your horses about that headline, all you dozen Too Human fanboys out there: you can vote for the game if you want. Just know that the rest of us are going to sit there judging you with a bemused expression on our faces the entire time you’re doing it.
But if you want to not be a fucking joke with your Too Human shit, how about you vote for an actually good game to become backwards compatible with the Xbox One? You now have the option to do just that, as Microsoft has opened the floor up to suggestions for what Xbox 360 games to make compatible with the Xbox One. When first announced during their E3 press conference Monday, Microsoft said that over a hundred games would become backwards compatible by the end of the year, with a handful already available for those who partake in Xbox Preview features. But in an effort to make as many of its fans happy as possible, Xbox is allowing everyone to vote for which of their games will be first out the gate. The highest games that get voted up aren’t guaranteed to become backwards compatible (Microsoft has already cautioned that they need the permission of the publisher to let this process take place), but it will certainly make them work harder to get that game ready to go on the Xbox One! You can cast your vote here.
Leading the pack currently is Red Dead Redemption with over 26,000 votes, but there’s a lot of good stuff occupying that list. Let’s just hope all these votes are more than just empty promises, and that Microsoft actually ends up delivering the games that people would like to play on their Xbox One. What are you gonna vote for? Like I said, I have a huge hankering to dive back into Max Payne 3, so that was the first one I clicked on the survey. Of course any choice is a fine one!*
*Except Too Human.
