Twenty five days. In a mere twenty five days, the beginning of the end for Walter White and company will begin. Breaking Bad’s Final Season is set to premiere on August 11, and we here at Geek Binge couldn’t be more excited. Well we have a ton of things planned to celebrate the end of one of TV’s greatest achievements, details on the new season are slowly start to trickle out. And well we’ll have another article later today about a bunch of new character images released for the season, for now we have something a tad more tantalizing—episode titles and descriptions to go along with them. And rest assured—these descriptions are vague enough to not really give too much away about the season as a whole…though delving in deeper, there is a lot to gain from them. Check out all eight after the jump.
The descriptions come courtesy of press kits that were recently sent out for the season, and I managed to find the descriptions courtesy of Zap2it. Here’s all eight below:
Episode 509– “Blood Money”: As Walt and Jesse adjust to life outside of the business, Hank grapples with a troubling lead.
Episode 510 — “Buried”: While Skyler’s past catches up with her, Walt covers his tracks. Jesse continues to struggle with his guilt.
Episode 511 — “Confessions”: Jesse decides to make a change, while Walt and Skyler try to deal with an unexpected demand.
Episode 512 — “Rabid Dog”: An unusual strategy starts to bear fruit, while plans are set in motion that could change everything.
Episode 513 — “To’hajiilee”: Things heat up for Walt in unexpected ways.
Episode 514 — “Ozymandias”: Everyone copes with radically changed circumstances.
Episode 515 — “Granite State”: Events set in motion long ago move toward a conclusion.
Episode 516 — “Felina”: The series finale.
So as Zap2It points out, there’s a lot of interesting things to be found in these titles and descriptions. First things first, it seems Walt indeed is looking to get out of the business for good at the start of the season—but things will start to occur that ultimately prevent his goals (of course.) Episode 510, “Buried,” looks to be the standard Skylar episode we always get at least once a season, but what could the hint at her past possible mean? Ted Beneke, or something else entirely? Moving forward, Episode 512 is titled “Rabid Dog,” continuing the once a season tradition of having an animal name represent an episode title. Things don’t start to get interesting again until Episode 515, the penultimate episode entitled “Granite State.” Granite State is the nickname for New Hampshire. Will this be the episode that finally brings us to the future first showed in the Season 5 premiere? I would say that’s the case, but like with all things Breaking Bad, never expect anything.
Breaking Bad will return to AMC on August 11. Keep checking back to Geek Binge for more Breaking Bad related goodness as the premiere approaches.
