We Want to Go To There: Our 30 Favorite Episodes of 30 Rock

Hour long episodes are a tricky beast when it comes to comedies, but thankfully 30 Rock was more than up to the challenge.  Their one hundredth episode was one for the record books, as the workers at 30 Rockefeller Center have to deal with a building wide gas leak that, more likely than not, would bring them closer together as a unit.  There’s so many memorable moments in 100, from the excellent Tom Hanks cameo to Michael Keaton’s hilarious turn as a janitor just one day from retirement (“I’m getting to old for this sh…sound come outing of this pipe.”), Jack’s fantastic encounter with his past, present, and future selves, another wonderful appearance of Dennis Duffy…just so damn good. And Jack’s speech on the rooftop about how sad an actor moving to television is?  Amazing.  Proof that, even a hundred episodes in, 30 Rock was able to make us laugh far more frequently than most other shows on television.

“Cooter” and “Larry King” are probably two of my least favorite episodes.
